Archived: Coal Rooms, Peckham

50% off food on Saturday 19, Tuesday 22 and Wednesday 23 August

Specialising in charcoal grill, Coal Rooms (aptly placed in Peckham Rye's disused station building) is a cafe, restaurant and bar from the team behind hip coffee bar Old Spike Roastery.

Head chef Sam Bryant hails from the Smokehouse and Princess of Shoreditch, so you can expect an epic selection of all things grilled and meaty, such as dry aged duck breasts, Mangalitsa cowboy steaks, and 40 day-aged Dexter sirloin and rib. And interesting sounding sauces on the side, including jerk caramel and greengage and mead ketchup. There'll also be a mean breakfast menu, featuring a delicious array of treats (mostly coffee based, naturally), and a host of flatbreads for lunch.
